LWML Mite Boxes --are available at the Information Center in the fellowship hall. Women and families are invited to drop their pennies and /or change into the mite box at the end of the day. On the first Sunday of the month, all mite boxes are collected and placed in the large mite box at the Information Center in the narthex. All mites go toward mission. Contact: Joan Robins, 996-6806.
Fountain of Books:
The next meeting is April 12th at 6:30 pm. Our book selection is 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Location TBA. The Ladies Book Club typically meets monthly. As we discussed,we will have a Mexican theme if you'd like to bring something. Think about a book recommendation for May. All are welcome and please bring a friend! Women of Faith Conference:
Ladies, the theme this year is “Believe God can do Anything”. The conference will feature speakers Sheila Walsh, Lisa Harper, Liz Curtis Higgs, Max Lucado, Angie Smith and Ken Davis. Musical Artists this year are CeCe Winans and Third Day. The dates are October 11-12 in Charlotte. We will leave Friday afternoon to give us time to get checked into the hotel and get some dinner prior to the conference. Box lunches will again be available for Saturday lunch. The conference is over early Saturday evening and we will head home around 8:00 PM. Seating has changed this year so the cost of the conference is $99 this year. Hotel should come in at under $50 per person. A $20 deposit is due upon signing up with the remaining balance split between 4 additional payments starting in April. Sign up at the Welcome Center.
